What a difficult 2 years it has been! I just wanted to stop by for a minute to complain about life.

In 2007, Jeremy left for bootcamp, we got married, then decided right away to start trying for children. In 2008, we moved to Jacksonville, NC where we continued to try, when he got deployed and i found a job and went to school. By the end of 2008 jeremy had come home and we were approved to see an infertility specialist. We spent the first half of 2009 bouncing from appt to appt trying to find out what was wrong and why we couldnt have children. All my tests came back normal, except they finally confirmed that I wasn't dropping any eggs but they didnt know why. We started taking fertility meds to help speed up the process, but after a few months with no success and another deployment rapidly approaching, we gave up. Since jeremy was no longer here, my doctor suggested trying gastric bypass to lose weight and regulate my ovulation. So i spent the entire 7 months jeremy was gone going from appt to appt to set up my surgery. 2 months after surgery jeremy comes home and I begin to get a terrible pain. I didnt think it was because of the surgery, so back to the doctor I go. He suspects a cyst and sends me to get an ultrasound. So here we are, full circle. I got the results from the ultrasound, which showed what the doctors think is PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome). PCOS causes infertility and getting pregnant with it is VERY difficult. I was hoping to get pregnant naturally after GBP, but because of PCOS, that will not be likely, if possible at all. I will be scheduling another visit with my infertility doctor very soon.

We would like to begin trying again in Jan. 2011. We have 9 months until we move to texas, so at least we have SOMEthing to look forward to. (i am SOOOOO hoping to get pregnant between december and april!!)
